Conformational Changes in Real-time

Welcome to Skylight Discovery. We are experts in drug discovery, specializing in proprietary real-time conformational change measurements for discovering and validating high-potency cryptic pockets in single targets or complexes.

Technology

Our state-of-the-art optical technology ensures targets are fully functional and dynamic, enabling precise measurement of ligand-induced conformational changes in real time. Typical conformational changes, such as side-chain motions, lead to shallow pockets that cannot support high-potency interactions. We can validate whether hits induce the type of structural changes that are correlated with druggable, cryptic pockets. We can also profile targets for such pockets to assess whether they exist before a costly drug discovery project is launched. Targets can be single proteins, protein-protein complexes, RNA, or DNA.

Our tools empower drug discovery scientists to quickly make informed decisions about a new project directed to cryptic sites and an allosteric mechanism of action, or existing ones with hits in hand. They enable tackling targets considered challenging or 'undruggable' by revealing new binding sites that are functional and progressable to a high-potency candidate. Our assays only work with conformationally competent targets, ensuring the most native-like measurements possible.

About Us

Skylight offers its proprietary conformational change measurement technology to quickly assess the druggability of a target via novel, cryptic sites and identify ligands which bind to them.  If you have a project that you think we could help with, please get in touch.
